What We Do...

AFRICAN VOICES Cinema Series (AVCS) offers unique and exceptional program services to expand the global audience for filmmakers of the African Diaspora. Our program goals are simple: raise the bar, raise the volume, and raise the profile of the films and the filmmakers that are representative of the African Diaspora.

Film Festival Programming
Through partnerships with film festivals, cultural arts       institutions, and government agencies, AVCS creates  and produces film screening opportunities to broaden the international audience base for African film.

Skills Training Workshops
With the support of film and television industry               professionals in the areas of screenwriting, directing, producing, cinematography, editing and production/post sound; AVCS conducts skills training workshops for aspiring filmmakers  and provides participants with valuable exposure to the industry's leading filmmakers.
